The department has 3 ophthalmic units with necessary attachments like Direct, Indirect ophthalmoscopes, retinoscopes and tonometer. Department also has gonioscopic lenses to visualize the anterior segment of the eye to diagnose glaucomas.

• Ophthalmology department has an exclusively and separate OT equipped with latest operating microscope and phaco machine (sovereign – AMO).
• The department also has a minor OT wherein minor procedures are conducted on a day-to-day basis.
• The departmental library is fairly well equipped with books for both under-graduate and post-graduate students. We also have both national and international journals.
• OPD is well equipped with audio-visual aids to teach the students for which the seminar hall is attached to the OPD.
• Separate chambers are provided for each staff members with ophthalmic units. A dark room is made available for refraction and various procedures to diagnose posterior segment of the eye.
• The department has separate arrangements for smooth conduct of practical / viva-voce / examination
• Each staff member is allotted separate chamber during lunch for their personal use.
